As a registered nurse and mother of three sons, Veronica had worked hard to build a stable future for her family, but becoming a homeowner remained a dream just out of reach. Her journey with My Way Home began several years ago, and she continued to pursue homeownership while advancing her career and earning her master’s degree in nursing. When she applied for the California Dream For All program, she found herself waiting patiently for an opportunity. After more than a year on the waitlist, she finally received a voucher, but the journey still wasn’t over. Her first purchase fell through, yet she remained determined and continued searching. In November 2025, she finally closed on a home in Oxnard, giving her and her three sons a place to call their own and a foundation for their future.
