This year’s conference is especially meaningful as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our organization and our continued commitment to expanding homeownership opportunities in our community. For 25 years, we have helped individuals and families access education, resources, and trusted guidance on their path to financial stability and homeownership.

  • Check-in will begin at 9:30am in the Welcome tent. Please pick up your event program, lunch ticket* and pre-registration raffle ticket (*while supplies last).

  • Want to buy a home and curious about what you can pre-qualify for and what assistance programs you may be eligible for? Give our Loan Center a try anytime from 10am - 2pm! Register for the Loan Center when you check-in on the day of the Conference.

  • Visit our various exhibits to learn about different mortgage products, assistance programs and/or services our exhibitors have to offer.

  • Your credit is a key factor on your path to homeownership. In this session, you’ll learn how credit scores work, what lenders look for, and simple strategies to strengthen your credit profile. Walk away with clear, practical steps to help you prepare for a mortgage and move forward with confidence.

  • Ready to move closer to owning your own home? This workshop walks you through the homebuying journey in clear, manageable steps. You’ll learn what to expect at each stage, how to prepare financially, and which resources can support you along the way. Leave with a practical roadmap to help turn your homeownership goals into reality.

  • After tworkshop #2, we will pass out lunch. Please note lunch is available via a ticket system and will be available while supplies last. One lunch per person and must be present to obtain the free lunch. We cannot guarantee that all attendees will get a free lunch.

  • Hear from a panel of industry professionals as they discuss the challenges many low- and moderate-income homebuyers face in today’s market, and the programs and resources designed to help overcome them. Gain practical insights, real-world guidance, and learn about tools that can support you on your path to homeownership.

  • Saving for a down payment or closing costs can feel overwhelming, but help is available. In this workshop, you’ll explore the different assistance programs available to homebuyers in across the counties of Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Learn how these resources work, who qualifies, and how to access them so you can take a confident step closer to owning a home sooner than you may have thought possible.

  • Close out the event with an open Q&A session featuring a housing counselor, lender, realtor, and a past homebuyer. This panel is your opportunity to get your remaining questions answered, gain real-world insight, and hear firsthand experiences from both professionals and someone who has successfully gone through the homebuying journey with My Way Home.

What to Expect

  • You do not need to pre-register however you will get an extra raffle ticket for pre-registering which you can get when you check-in for the day of the event. There will be a separate, fastest line for those who pre-register.

  • Please proceed to the tent with the welcome signs. If you pre-registered please look for the "Pre-Registered" line and follow the check-in instructions from our staff. If you are walking-in please go to the “Walk-in” section.

  • We recommend a pen and notepad. Although we will have seating, we recommend you bring your own chair just in case.

  • No, this event is only offered in-person.

  • No, the Conference is completely free.


  • Although we do encourage you to join us for the entire event (10am - 2pm) as it will be jammed packed with resources and information, it is not necessary to attend the entire event. You can join us at any point during the event. Check out our agenda for event details and times.

  • There is free parking onsite around the event location (2231 Sturgis Road, Oxnard, CA)

  • Yes, this event is open to all! We will have goody bags for the kids as well as pizza and a drink.

  • No! We welcome everyone to attend. Even if you are just thinking about buying a home - this conference is for you!

  • No! Although the information is geared towards first-time homebuyers, you don't have to be a first-time homebuyer to attend. Often times we hear that even those who have purchased a home before learn something new at our Conferences.

  • Yes! When you check-in on the day of the event we will ask if you are interested in participating in our free Loan Center which provides you the opportunity to get a free, no obligation pre-qualification from one of our loan experts.

  • You don't have to print your ticket. However it will be helpful for check-in purposes if you have your registration confirmation on your phone.
